Short World Cup Preview
Millions will head to Brazil next month to see the favorite event of the world's favorite sport, the FIFA World Cup. The home team looks to be a strong contender, with star midfielder Neymar leading the way for a squad stacked with stars and looking to give the home crowd something to cheer about. Spain, the winner of last year's World Cup, also looks to defend their title. Spain will face challenges early in the tough-looking Group B, with 3 top-15 teams in Spain, the Netherlands, and Chile. Another hard group is Group G, with all four countries, perennial contender Germany, Ronaldo-led Portugal, the US, and Ghana, being in the top 25. Both Germany and Portugal are top 5 teams. For those supporting the US, it looks to be very hard to get out of group play: let alone having Germany and Portugal, Ghana had knocked the US out the past 2 World Cups. One team you should try to watch is Bosnia-Herzegovina, in their first World Cup as an independent country. Led by star Vedad Ibišević, a survivor of the Yugoslav wars of the 90s, the team looks to bring a nation that has faced many hard times some prosperity. Whoever you're rooting for, make sure to watch what look to be a fantastic World Cup!
